Lithgow Railway Workshop employs 25+ people adjacent to the State Mine Museum. Staff service locomotives for the coal industry as well as rolling stock for the planned tourist steam train network extending from the State Mine Railway to Eskbank Station to eventually include a round trip taking in Newnes Junction and the Wolgan Valley.
